RCA Club, in Lisbon, will host a night dedicated to Portuguese metal on June 27, promoted by Ethereal Sound Works and featuring performances by Anifernyen and Hourswill. The concert will mark the live presentation of the latest releases from both bands, issued earlier this year.
Anifernyen will take the stage to present “Ex Tenebris Lvx”, their new studio album. The record follows Augur and continues the band’s distinctive sound, built upon a combination of melodic black and death metal where aggression, melody, and atmospheric elements coexist. The album represents another step in the band’s evolution, further strengthening their identity within the Portuguese extreme metal scene.
Earlier in the evening, Hourswill will open the event with the presentation of “Ensemble”, the band’s latest release. Known for their progressive approach and the construction of lengthy, detailed compositions, Hourswill return to the stage with a work that explores a wide range of dynamics and sonic textures while maintaining a strong balance between technical proficiency and emotional depth.
The concert brings together two distinct yet complementary approaches to contemporary Portuguese metal, offering audiences the opportunity to experience live performances of the latest chapters in the discographies of both bands.
