Saturday, February 21st, 2026, Three Days Grace kicked off with a nearly sold-out show for the first stop of the “Alienation Tour” in Fort Wayne, Indiana, at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. Even before the doors opened at 6 pm, fans eagerly lined up, and cars backed up onto Coliseum Blvd waiting to get into the venue. It was a blistering cold, winter Indiana evening, but it was totally worth it with the absolutely smoking hot show that was delivered to us. For this night, The Funeral Portrait and I Prevail got the bodies moving and fully warmed up for Three Days Grace.
The Funeral Portrait took the stage at 7 pm. By took, I mean that practically literally. They owned that stage, baby! Bringing their highly energetic and theatrical emo/alternative performance to the frontlines of this tour, Lee Jennings (frontman/vocals) instantly had that crowd wrapped around his pinky finger. They played “Suffocate City,” “Stay Weird,” “Generation Psycho,” “Voodoo Doll,” among others. The way he moves, jumps, and those crazy high kicks that all seemed so effortless- Lee was born to be an entertainer! The band has an undeniable chemistry that is not only impossible to look away from, but felt. Who doesn’t love a band with a great theme and style? At one point during their set, a fan in the audience held up a sign that read, “You gave me the courage to stay weird.” Lee took the sign and held it up to the crowd. He also gave that same fan a fan (a folding hand fan), which I am almost certain he obtained on the recent “Shiprocked” tour. With all those fans, how cool is that?! After their set, Lee mingled around the venue and the merch table, taking selfies with concertgoers. The Funeral Portrait’s performance was immensely visual, stunning and entertaining. With how things are going for this band, they are thriving, living and growing to full greatness. No funeral in sight for The Funeral Portrait any time soon.

At 7:55 pm, I Prevail came out to play. From the first breakdown to the last note heard, I Prevail was absolutely relentlessly powerful. The intense ability they had to control the crowd, immediately causing an absolute ruckus, was a statement to their pure dominating and influential presence. Initiating circle pits, antagonising chaos and one hundred per cent hyping up the pit, the mixture of melodic hooks and totally aggressive screams from vocalists had the place in a state of contagion. The crowd surfers were endless. I Prevail fans go hard, just like the set list! They played “Violent Nature,” “Bad Things,” “Self Destruction,” “Gasoline,” and even a great cover of Metallica’s “Sad but True.” Eruptions of fire, timed perfectly with the music, amplified each drum beat, each chorus and each scream through a majority of their performance.

At 9:15 pm, Three Days Grace finally graced us with their presence. By this time, the whole arena was bangin’. Bodies were bouncing, voices screaming in anticipation, all nice and toasty warm-heated up from the opening bands. The energy was turned up to 11, and even before the first sound from the stage, fans were chanting, “Three Days Grace!” Having Adam back in the band brought a totally nostalgic feel. It was like seeing your best friend after a very long time apart. Adam and Matt sounded absolutely perfect. Their voices are a truly beautiful concoction. They sounded phenomenal together. Although Matt carried the band along while Adam was away, what a great feeling it was to hear the songs live with Adam’s voice echoing through the place and into the hearts of everyone in attendance. They had a nice mix of all the older, well-known hits with songs from the new Alienation album. They captivated us with “Animal I Have Become,” “Break,” “Home,” “Mayday,” “I Hate Everything About You,” “Never Too Late,” and “Riot.” As if experiencing Adam back in the band wasn’t emotional enough, heartstrings were tugged when they performed a stellar cover of Three Doors Down’s “Here Without You.” Also, if it isn’t widely known, Three Days Grace fans are some seriously feral individuals. The circle pits were spiralling, the mosh pits popped up everywhere, and the crowd surfers were never-ending. The surfers were coming like waves from an angry sea. It was a perfect storm. Three Days Grace played a magnificent, gorgeous mini acoustic set with visuals of a night sky and treeline. They even had a faux campfire on stage that they gathered around, sitting on stools. Some of the songs they performed were “Wake Up,” “Lifetime,” and “Get Out Alive.” As one could predict, as soon as the campsite was cleared, the intensity returned with full force. The whole time, the crowd was participating in singing and chanting. What a vibe!

Unfortunately, the night did have to end. But luckily for you, this is just the beginning of this tour, and there are many stops throughout America and beyond! Check out the stops and hit up the one nearest to you. I highly recommend finding a show near you that The Funeral Portrait will be at.
Special thanks to Live Nation.
