On 29 January 2026, Lisbon’s Coliseu dos Recreios will host one of the most anticipated symphonic metal events of the year, as Tarja Turunen and Marko Hietala return to the same stage for a rare and highly awaited reunion.

Following the overwhelming response to their Living The Dream – The Hits Tour 2024 and a successful run of shows throughout 2025, the former Nightwish collaborators continue their joint journey into 2026 with an extensive European tour. Lisbon is confirmed as one of its key dates, promising a night shaped by shared history, renewed artistic chemistry, and a carefully curated setlist.

Their reunion marked the first time in 18 years that Tarja and Marko performed together, a moment that resonated deeply with long-time fans. What began as a nostalgic encounter quickly evolved into a forward-looking collaboration, strengthened by the release of their duet single “Left On Mars” and the strong audience response that followed. The decision to extend the partnership reflects not only public demand, but a genuine creative reconnection between two defining voices of symphonic metal.

Tarja Turunen remains a central figure in the genre, combining classical training with a commanding stage presence that has defined her solo career since departing Nightwish. Her recent compilation Best of Tarja – Living The Dream revisits key moments from her discography, reinforcing her status as one of the most influential artists in symphonic metal.

Marko Hietala, equally associated with Nightwish’s most celebrated era, arrives in Lisbon with new material from his latest solo album, Roses From The Deep. The record reveals a more introspective side of the Finnish musician, adding further depth to a performance already charged with emotional weight.

With support from Rok Ali and The Addiction and Serpentyne, the evening is expected to balance classic material with newer compositions, creating a bridge between past and present. More than a reunion, this concert stands as a rare opportunity to witness two iconic artists sharing the stage again, not to recreate the past, but to reinterpret it.
