Lacuna Coil Live in Lisbon 2025 – Gothic Metal Returns to LAV
The unmistakable weight and melody of Lacuna Coil return to Lisbon in 2025. On October 17, the celebrated Italian band will take over LAV – Lisboa Ao Vivo for what promises to be one of the year’s standout metal events.
Joining them will be American nu-metal veterans Nonpoint, returning to European stages with renewed vigor. Known for their infectious riffs and high-energy shows, the group — fronted by Elias Soriano and anchored by drummer Robb Rivera — continue to thrive after more than two decades. With guitarist Jason Zeilstra now part of the lineup, Nonpoint remain as dynamic as ever, most recently showcased on A Million Watts from their 2023 Heartless EP, following the success of 2021’s Ruthless.
The timing of the Lisbon concert is particularly significant: it follows the announcement of Lacuna Coil’s highly anticipated tenth studio album, Sleepless Empire, due for release on February 14, 2025. Ambitious in scope, the record blends cinematic arrangements with the band’s trademark heaviness and features collaborations with Ash Costello of New Years Day and Randy Blythe of Lamb Of God. With this new chapter, Lacuna Coil reaffirm their distinctive identity while embracing new sonic frontiers, reinforcing why they remain one of the most vital names in modern metal.
