Preview: Wave Gotik Treffen 2023

Another year passes, and another edition of the Wave Gotik Treffen approaches. This year Wave Gotik Treffen will celebrate its 30th edition.

The event will take place between the 26th and 29th of May and promises to be one of the best ever. In musical terms, at the time of writing this, 166 bands are confirmed, but more will be added until the event date. EBM, Industrial, Folk, Neofolk, Darkwave, Metal, and a diversity of styles are presented and that will be available to everyone who visits the city of Leipzig between these days.

Bands like Assemblage 23, Corpus Delicti, Deine Lakaien, Hocico, Covenant, Suicide Commando, Frontline Assembly, Rosa Crux, Kaelan Mikla, Lebanon Hanover, Goethes Erben, FabrikC, Front 242, Das Ich, Diary Of Dreams, Eisfabrik, Harpyie, Faun, XIV. Dark Centuries, Qntal, Rotting Christ, Vogelfrey, Thyrfing, Lord Of The Lost, Ikon, The Mission, (and many more, you can click the link and check out all the artists confirmed and those that will be added: https://www .wave-gotik-treffen.de/english/bands.php) can be seen in the 4 days of the festival and in different places around the city.

In addition to music, this festival offers visitors reading sessions, various exhibitions, theater, cinema and classical music sessions, and multiple parties at about 50 different places around Leipzig. This festival has this particularity, the whole city is involved in this festival, and even public transport lines are added for visitors to move better and faster around the city.
