FALLEN EIGHT – Rise and Grow

Having made their kick start, Fallen Eight have nothing to prove, but just making their own music. And that’s a very juvenile thing to do, right? Fallen Eight is that kind of band that just wants to squeeze some noise out of the adrenaline, and extremeness. Launching now their 1st EP.

As you’d expect from a band this young the vocals is their key point, flipping in-between the growls and melodic vocals. It is so relevant, that almost manages to outshine other instruments. Clem is the angry youth’s voice angry and perhaps unstable, but nevertheless leaving a mark, since it is the voice which makes the song vivid, and remembering.

On the other hand, another mark of the band is the dual guitar players Medy and Joffrey. they are the responsible for the constant shredding that populate the songs. Despite the overwhelming presence of vocalization, there are very interesting instrumental sections, with very peculiar techniques.

The major song on the album and the first one to be released – Final Shot – is a fine example of what makes Fallen Eight, a constant vocalization and a solid 6 string duo.
The other title to come out, Reborn, is otherwise, an ironic song, since the band came out to their 1st EP, w/ nothing but fresh birth. But the concept of rebirth is an aspiration of the band in itself to redefine the metal and noisecore.

Even though we’re not talking about a thing we’re never heard before, they sucede in making very solid cohesive songs. In rebirth the solo comes up just right, in a very elevating, transcending way, and we would just like to see some more of those. A band à «revoir».
