Mayhem, Marduk and Immolation on a hellish night in Lisbon

Prepare for a night of unrelenting darkness on 14 February 2026 at LAV – Lisboa Ao Vivo, as Portugal hosts the Death Over Europe 2026 tour. Headlined by Norwegian black metal pioneers Mayhem, alongside Swedish black metal extremists Marduk and American death metal icons Immolation, this is set to be one of the year’s most devastating extreme metal events.

Mayhem, celebrating 40 years of career, return to Portugal with a setlist spanning their four-decade legacy while teasing new material from an upcoming album. Their presence ensures both a retrospective of black metal history and a glimpse of what the future holds for the genre.

Swedish black metal veterans Marduk, led by Mortuus, open the night with their signature aggressive, speed-driven, and warlike sound, promising a physically intense performance. Complementing the bill, New York-based Immolation deliver crushing, meticulously crafted death metal, bringing decades of technical mastery and oppressive atmosphere to the stage.

Promoted by Free Music Events, this show promises to shake LAV to its core, offering a night devoted entirely to the extremes of metal. Fans can expect a brutal, dark, and unforgettable experience.

I’m Patrícia Veludo, a photographer drawn to the controlled chaos of live shows, where metal, punk, and the most underground shades of rock come to life in front of my lens. Between reporting, photography, and video capture, i’m always seeking to document the raw and authentic energy of each live moment. Away from the stage, i work in the inpatient care unit of a veterinary hospital, with a special fondness for exotic animals — proving that both in the noise of riffs and in the silence of care, there’s always room for dedication and sensitivity!
