The nu-metal legends who revolutionized heavy music in the ’90s are bringing their unmistakable sound to the EVILLIVE FESTIVAL more than three decades after they first emerged.
Formed in 1993 in Bakersfield, California, the American band KORN is often considered pioneers of nu-metal. The group was founded by Brian “Head” Welch, James “Munky” Shaffer, Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu, David Silveria, and Jonathan Davis, whose distinctive voice and introspective, visceral lyrics set them apart in the heavy music scene. Combining elements of metal, hip-hop, and alternative rock, the band quickly made a name for themselves with their use of seven-string guitars, deep basslines, and lyrics addressing themes like trauma, alienation, and personal struggle.
Their self-titled debut album, released in 1994, showcased an innovative and raw sound, but it was with Follow The Leader and Issues that the band achieved worldwide success, with multimillion-dollar sales and iconic tracks like “Freak On A Leash” and “Falling Away From Me.” Famous for their high-energy performances, KORN helped shape the heavy music scene of the late ’90s and early 2000s, influencing an entire generation of musicians. Despite lineup changes over the years, including the departures of Arvizu and Silveria, they have remained active and relevant, with over 40 million albums sold, and continue to explore new sounds, solidifying their legacy in the rock and metal worlds.
With a lineup already featuring three of the biggest names in heavy music, the EVILLIVE FESTIVAL 2025 is becoming a key event in the European circuit, offering a diverse experience for fans of all generations. More names will be announced in the coming days, with the organizers promising an outstanding lineup.
Stay tuned for further updates and get ready for three unmissable days where heavy music will be celebrated in all its diversity.
Soon, on Prime Artists’ official channels, all ticket types for the third edition of the EVILLIVƎ FESTIVAL will be announced, along with their respective prices.
