Ever you ever thought that raw black metal days were over just because the same riff was played over and over again? For some bands maybe… not the case of Archgoat. Finland has been for more than a decade a home where the old meets the new in a strange cozy fashion, as you can hear in this new album. You can find it all in here: the darkness, the raw sound, the satanic prayers, the fire and the mist. Songs like “Nuns, Cunts & Darkness”, “The Apocalyptic Triumphator”, “Grand Luciferian Theophany”, “Those Below (Who Dwell in Hell)”, and “Light of Phosphorus” will surely leave some darkness over your shoulders far away from the non-commercial black metal (if there is something like that to be honest). The final “Funeral Pyre of Trinity” closes one more triumphant chapter in the history of this awesome band.
