Eighteen years after their formation and seven years after their last release, the Portuguese Grimlet released “Theia: Aesthetics of a Lie”. Th album comprises one intro, four original songs and a different version of a song taken from the first album “Darkness Shrouds The Hidden”.
This death metal band from Figueira da Foz, without renouncing the progressive and technical characteristics present in the first two albums, in this LP they present us a slightly more direct and straightforward songs, grabbing some elements of old school death metal. This is achieved when you take in consideration the excellent guitar work presented and importantly David’s vocal extension. The vocals appears stronger and more haunting, as if the years passed had proportionally contributed to the improvement of his voice skills.
