As we all know, the record market is full of bands that do atmospheric black metal with folk elements, so what makes Nechochwen and their new “Heart of Akamon” different from all the rest? Maybe the fact that the link in between the songs makes it flow in a very organic way, almost like if it was a movie soundtrack. The beginning of the album is more black metal with songs like “The Serpent Tradition”, and “Lost On The Trail of The Setting Sun”, making us think that the album will be all like that. Then comes in the folk elements that make this album a bit more ethnic, as you’ll hear in songs like “October 6 1963”, “Skimota”, and “Skyhook”. The production is the expected in an album of this genre, and it will be enough to someone who really like this kind of stuff.
