It’s been five years since the release of “You Only Live Twice” and now Pain are back a new release. Coming Home is the title of the new studio album, again with the label of Nuclear Blast.
About the album, Peter Tägtgren said it follows the same line of the project Lindemann, the solo project of Rammstein’s vocalist Till Lindemann where Peter plays all the instruments. It also counts the some guest musicians: Orchestrations by Clemens Wijers (Carach Angren), Sebastian Tägtgren (Peter’ son) and legendary Sabaton’s vocalist Joakim Bróden.
Coming Home begins with ” Designed To Piss You Off”, a powerful song and a hymn for bad boys. Next comes ”Call Me”, the track that features Joakim Bróden on vocals. After this soul crushing song comes ” A Wannabe” and ”Pain In The ass”, who speak about someone who doesn’t show the real self and sexual intercourse (or not!), respectively.
The fifth track is the first single of the album and its called ”Black Knight Satellite”. ”Coming Home” is an introspective song who gives the listener some minutes to rest. ‘’Natural Born Idiot’’ is a critic to those persong who are not much intelligent but still talk like they are the brightest people in the world. The album ends with symphonic melodic song called “Starseed”.
Coming Home is an album that transpires energy and makes the listener release energy following the vibe of the album, something Pain has gotten used to. People who want an heavy but untraditional album will surely be addicted to this crushing release.
