A few months after the unfortunate passing of Aleah Stanbridge who gives voice to these gloomy melancholic tunes, Trees of Eternity reveal to the world what might be their only album in their short career, “Hour of the Nightingale”, recorded in 2014, but remained unreleased for a while.

Counting also with Juha Raivio (Swallow the Sun) on guitars, Kai Hahto (Nightwish, Wintersun, Swallow the Sun) on drums, and the brothers Fredrik Norrman and MattiasNorrman on guitars and bass, this band presents to the listen a competent album of doom metal, with great melodic lines, guided by the stunning angelic voice of Aleah.

With the help of Jon Phipps on string arrangements and synths, songs like “My Requiem”, “Eye of Night”, “Condemned to Silence” with the participation of Mick Moss on vocals, “A Million Tears”, “Broken Mirror”, and the beautiful ballad “Sinking Ships”, will delight the listeners of doom metal, that got in here something really different from all the bands of the genre.

Produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Jens Bogrenat Fascination Street Studios 1 in Örebro, Sweden, the listener will find a lot of fresh ideas, well-structured and linked, that make the album flow really well until the final moment.

Trees of Eternity can be proud of the effort done, since the listener will feel that these songs are some of the deepest, honest and heartbreaking tuneswe could find nowadays in these sub genres. Aleah would be very proud of this record, perfect for the winter days and nights to come, as doom lovers will find here the best doom metal record of the year.
